The project
Behind the name...
THE WOLF YOU FEED is a musical project that will take you on a journey through the wilderness of Nature and Human.
Envisioned by bass player and songwriter Grégory Breton, the first album of The Wolf You Feed « …And the Wild Returns » was recorded with the contribution of the skilled and renowned musicians Karim Attoumane on guitars and production (The Etherist, CharlElie Couture, Zuul FX …), Aurélien Ouzoulias on drums (Mörglbl, Satan Jokers, Zuul FX, Disconnected, …) and Nash Vigier, a complete artist, on vocals.
Deeper Meaning...
The name of this musical project comes from the old Native American “Tale of the Two-wolves” whose origin is however unknown and contested. This tale, widely shared on social networks these days, features two wolves fighting each other, one embodying negative emotions and attitudes (such as anger, envy, jealousy, sadness, regret, greed, resentment, superiority, arrogance, self-pity and lies) and the other, all positive feelings and states of mind (like joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, benevolence, empathy, generosity, compassion and truth). This story has several epilogues that we let you find out but in the context of this musical project, this name reflects this internal battle and the desire to freely write and play different kind of songs, regardless of the music genre, whether they are bright, optimistic and joyful or melancholic, dark and brutal, whether they are straight, epic or progressive.
Our debut album...
Our first album “…And the Wild Returns” is a call to bounce back, fight with a smile and sing our victories against gloomy and destructive adversities. The album will be available on Feb. 28 on streaming and download platforms and as a limited creative digipack distributed by the independent record label MusikÖ-Eye.
Notre premier album...
